We have a full Cut & Sew service here at Contrado, and are able to hem your fabric prints for a small additional charge. We create a small one- or two-fold hem that typically uses 0.2" to 0.75" (5-20mm) of material, depending on the thickness of the fabric. So, for example, if you want a finished piece of fabric that measures 39.37" x 39.37", you will need to order a size of 39.96" x 39.96" to allow for the hem (on top of that please also allow for shrinkage of min 2%). The thicker the fabric, the bigger the hem will be. You can choose to have your prints hemmed with either Black or White thread. On our silk and other light woven fabrics, one hemmed edge will be straight (vertically down the roll) and the other will be slightly rippled. The hemming material allowances are as follows and you need to make your print bigger to accommodate the hem:

All of these measurements are approximate and can vary. Including with shrinkage, it can mean a fairly significant difference to ordered dimensions, so please plan your print accordingly. Depending on how open the weave is, our fabric can shrink anywhere from 2% to 8% with the average being 2.5%.

Creating private labeling for your custom skirts makes your fabric label more professional, which is beneficial to your skirt business. There are various customization options for private labeling—choosing the fabric, color, size, style, and font. Work with our team and add your brand name and logo to the skirts! If need be, we can also provide a full package service; apart from making patterns and sourcing fabric, we buy you poly bags and boxes to ship in. Besides, a low MOQ of 50 for each design is available for you, which can lower your production costs and risks. We are delighted to take care of and source everything that has to do with your custom skirts.
When you choose us as your custom skirt manufacturer, we will go through four major zones: fabric inspection, cutting, sewing, and quality assurance. We pay attention to the fabric inspection—unroll and check for any defects before sending the fabric to the factory. Meanwhile, our factory will double-check when it receives the fabric as well. That’s not all. After production, we randomly check some finished skirts, looking to see if there are any loose yarns, broken stitching, or other issues that might have gotten stuck in the seams. We do it over and over again to pursue perfection, and we know that we need to be more effective and highly specialized, which can allow us to provide you with a thoughtful manufacturing experience and high-quality custom skirts.
Implementing a customer-centric approach, we stick to making sure you are comfortable with the vibe of working with us. Because working with a custom skirt manufacturer isn’t just about manufacturing products; it’s more about being a crucial member of your team. Our trained team makes sure that all the customer’s needs and queries are addressed on a priority basis.
